As a Christian counselor, Aileen brings biblical truth and psychological research together into helping people heal, change, and grow. She holds a B.A. degree in Psychology (graduating summa cum laude) from UCLA and an M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary’s School of Psychology.  She has trained under leading Christian professors and therapists. Since then, Aileen has continued to study and take classes on her own so that she can provide her clients with the best information and knowledge possible.

Aileen has presented numerous workshops on relationships, communication, parenting, personality differences, cross-cultural issues, confidence, and God’s calling. She speaks at churches, retreats, and community organizations. She is also currently the youngest board member of CAMFT SGV (the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists San Gabriel Valley Chapter).

In over ten years of ministry, Aileen has served in various leadership roles such as a youth group advisor, Sunday school teacher, and small group leader. She has worked in team settings to organize church retreats, coordinate training programs for short-term mission teams, and develop resources for discipleship. As an active leader in her church, she works to help younger Christians engage their gifts and passions for God’s kingdom. One of her greatest joys is seeing people live out their calling out of a loving relationship with God. Because of this, Aileen seeks to provide information and support to those who are emotionally and spiritually weary so that they can regain a sense of joy and renewal.

With first-hand experience in a variety of ministry and counseling settings, Aileen now sees clients at Westminster Counseling Center in Pasadena, CA.  She provides counseling for areas of ministry burnout, women’s issues, relationships, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. She brings a Christian perspective to help people create deeper, healthier lives.

Aileen Hong, M.S. provides counseling and therapy services for women, men, couples, children, teens, families, and groups.  Counseling help is available for common concerns such as depression, anxiety, ministry burnout, school/work-related stress, marriage difficulties, family problems, relationship issues, grief/loss, self-esteem, cross-cultural adjustment, and uncertainty about the future.
